POVERTY BUSINESS

I feel like companies now and days are coming up with schemes to do whatever it takes to make themselves rich, even if it meant in my opinion ripping people off.  People go to work to make money and to improve their economic standing.  Taking advantage of low-income workers just keeps them in the same position or worse.  The workers cannot improve.  They are stuck in massive amounts of debt because of "good" deals the companies offer.  This keeps people on the bad side of the divide or gets people to the bad side of the divide. Credit card companies make their money by the interest they charge their customers.  The money they make off of this interest allows them to expand the credit they can give to other customers.  Though these companies have traditionally looked away from giving credit to low income houses, they've recently started to look to them as a way of making more money at the turn of the century. I believe that corporation, the government, and individuals are responsible for everything.  The government needs to monitor what these big corporations are doing. If the government could regulate the interest rate more, helping low income individuals, it these issues. The opportunity divide is being affected by companies that profit low wage earners because their interest rates in a year are more than a low income earner is making. Interest rates can allow a person to go into so much debt they need a second job and are unable to find that job to pay off those debts. If we have more organization help low wage work on choose the right plans and improving save more. Businesses also need to have moral standards; just because it may be legal doesn't mean businesses should enlist in practices that will harm or hurt other people. The people who are running the banks they need to come up with a contract that speaks in common English versus legal jargon and to be able to sit down with their clients and go over contracts step by step with them.  So they don’t feel like there being duped into anything in the long run.
